Coaching Philosophies
-
The well-being and safety of my clients are the number one priority!
-
What works for me might not necessarily work for you
-
Not everybody learns & progresses in the same way & at the same rate
-
I am here to provide knowledge and assistance, but you need to do the work yourself
-
Variety is key in preventing injuries & burnout. Mix up the workouts!
-
Learn to recognize the diffrence between "good pain" and "bad pain"
-
Working out for your physical and mental health should be your primary driver to start working out. While looking good can definitely be a nice byproduct of choosing to work out, it should not be the main reason why you workout!
-
Do not worry about "being good" or "being fit" to get started!
-
Never expect results right away. Progress takes times and doesn't happen overnight. Be patient, keep consistently showing up , and results will eventually come!
-
Not everyone can become the best, but anyone can get better than they were before.
-
For coaches: Don't coach what you haven't actually done yourself or what you have not been trained to coach. Coach what you know how to actually do, what you have actually been trained to coach, and what you actually know how to coach.
-
Also for coaches: Walk the talk, don't talk the walk (aka, don't coach & write a marathon plan for someone if you have never actually run a marathon yourself; make sure you have some reasonable credibility before giving out advice! This is why I currently don't offer marathon training plans for my clients!
